Dear Campus Community,
Beginning this fall, you will see brand new shuttles and new technology to make the CatTracks ride between our community and our campus much more enjoyable.
Along with the brand-new shuttles, a new mobile app — Ride Systems — will keep you up to date on shuttle locations and schedules, as well as allow community members to purchase ride fares online (LAZGo).
Bike racks will be installed on all buses in September, and we appreciate your patience and understanding until that work is completed; allowing bikes inside the buses poses a safety hazard. Skateboards and non-motorized scooters are allowed as long as passengers hold onto them while riding the shuttle. Motorized scooters are not permitted on any shuttles or buses.
The upgrades come as we transition management of the system to LAZ Parking, a nearly 40-year-old company that operates more than 1 million parking spaces as well as transportation services across the country.
