As of June 10, more than 1000 undergraduates have submitted their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) for fall 2005 at UC Merced! Hundreds of faculty and staff members - not to mention friends of UC Merced in this area and around the state of California - are celebrating that fact and eagerly awaiting your arrival.
Please pay close attention to the following deadlines you must meet to keep things in order for this fall.
CURRENTLY: On-campus housing is full, but you may still submit an application to be placed on a waiting list. You are encouraged to talk with the Student Housing Office to make a plan for off-campus housing. Contact them by e-mail at housing@ucmerced.edu.
CURRENTLY: Incoming freshmen must submit any supporting documentation requested by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. View your outstanding requirements by logging into MyFinancialAid at http://my.ucmerced.edu. All requirements preceded by an asterisk (*) were due June 1, so please submit them as soon as possible. JULY 15: All students must have official, final transcripts from all schools they have attended from ninth grade to the present sent to Admissions/Relations with Schools and Colleges, P.O. Box 3289, Merced, CA 95344.
JULY 15: All incoming freshmen must have official, final scores for all required examinations, ACT or SAT I, and the three specified SAT II Subject Tests, to Admissions/Relations with Schools and Colleges. Use Merced’s ETS code 004129 for SAT I and SAT II scores. See www.collegeboard.com. The code for the ACT is 000450. See www.actstudent.org.
JULY 15: All students must submit official, final scores for all Advanced Placement (AP score 3 or above) and International Baccalaureate (IB score 5 or above) to Admissions/Relations with Schools and Colleges. Use Merced’s ETS code 004129. IGETC certification is due with California community college transcripts, if applicable.
