Dear Campus Community,
The Office of Campus Climate is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2019-2020 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Grants program.
The DEI Grants program aims to strengthen UC Merced’s campus climate and cultivate an environment where all students, staff and faculty members feel respected, included and valued.
The DEI Grant program is accepting proposals for projects that cultivate an inclusive and equitable community at UC Merced. Successful proposals should inspire collaborative, high impact, experimental and sustainable ideas.
Funding is provided by the Office of the Chancellor, and selected grants can receive up to $5,000 for one year.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m., Monday, March 4 .
Applicants must complete the DEI Grant application form and budget form . All campus community members – students, staff members, postdocs and Senate and non-Senate faculty – may submit proposals. Projects must be done in coordination with an official campus organization, department or account. A committee consisting of students, staff and faculty members will review submissions, and awardees will be notified by Monday, April 29, 2019. Projects should start in fall 2019 and be completed by the end of the 2020 spring semester.
Past DEI Grant recipients are posted on the Office of Campus Climate website .
